Severe weather is a risk today for much of central Indiana, and almost every day this week brings a rain chance.
On the other hand, today does bring the first above average temperatures in 11 days.
Indy had seen 1.23 inches of October rain through the weekend. That total will more than double through tomorrow.
Much of western and southern Indiana is under a slight risk for severe weather, mainly this afternoon, and mainly for damaging thunderstorm winds. Around 9 this morning the Storm Prediction Center indicated there may a Watch issued by early afternoon in the southwest corner of Indiana.
The morning showers and storms were caused by a warm front lifting northward. Storms may pop again this afternoon and early evening in the warm sector between the warm front and the cold front to the west.
Solid showers will arrive later this evening and persist through Tuesday morning. They will move eastward out of Indiana through the afternoon.
Here are some radar projections.
