Snow is on the way to NYC again, but not THIS much…
February 11, 2006 – The Big Apple got some Big Snow, a record one-day total of 26.9 inches in Central Park. Snowfall records were also broken in Philly and Allentown, Pennsylvania, Bridgeport and Hartford, Connecticut, Newark, New Jersey, and Worchester and Boston, Massachusetts.
February 11, 1987 – A thunderstorm hit Denver, and it was only the third time that had been recorded in February. Ten cities reported record high temps during a milder-than-average month.
February 11, 1899 – Can you imagine a temperature of -61? That is recorded on this date in Montana. What was called the “Great Eastern Blizzard” left 30-40 inches of snow from Georgia up to New England.
