The biggest chance of showers today will be from Lafayette to Muncie southward, and will come in the morning and early afternoon. Thunder is possible in the southern third of the state. The wind stays tame, which is probably the only positive for the runners in today’s Indianapolis Monumental Marathon.
The rain runs out by mid afternoon, as the area of low pressure sinks southeastward. High pressure takes over Saturday night through at least Monday, and at least the sky will be brighter, although I think we’re still almost a week away from a shift to above-average temperatures.
No precipitation at the polls, at least in Indiana. I project a dry day (with the usual margin of error.) Florida and the southeast coast could be a different story. A storm will take shape over the Sunshine State’s panhandle Tuesday and, unfortunately, move up the coast mid to late week. Nothing historic, but could certainly throw cold water (and some snow) on cleanup efforts..
The average high today is 59 and the average low is 40. Records are 77 and 11. The sunrise time is 8:17 and it sets at 6:40.
PAUL’S PREVIOUS PREDICTION:
