It’s Festival Of Festivals today in Indy. German, Scottish, Italian…represent! The City of Southport is also having a Fall Festival today with a classic car Show and live bluegrass.
And wet grass?
Rain moving east and northeast along an advancing warm front could mess with those festival this afternoon. Showers are possible from around Indy northward. I think the rain chance will diminish as the front lifts north of central Indiana by late afternoon. Thunderstorms with big wind gusts are coming tomorrow with a strong cold front. The storms could pop at any point in the day. The wind will be gusty even outside of the storms…up to 35 mph.
In between fronts: a milder weekend. Although with the possible afternoon rain I’ve lowered the high forecast to 70 today. That would still mean the first above average temperature day in over a week. Most of next week is also looking a little cooler than average, although I don’t expect any more frost during the seven day forecast period.
I’ll be at two of those aforementioned festivals today. So Mister Weatherman may get wet with you if you’re hanging out at GermanFest this afternoon. I’m judging the “wiener dog races” at 4pm. Then it’s off to German Park for the Indy Scottish Fest, where I’m actually judging the Men’s Kilt Contest after 6pm. Do I need a new agent?

Your link on INDYSTAR.com is getting more difficult to find by the day. What gives? Are they trying to move you in the direction of their printed paper? It won’t work. I will look for you first and then, maybe, INDYSTAR.com. Keep going with facts and fun.
