Is Holes by Louis Sachar, really worth dnigig into? My answer would have to be a definite yes. Although I would have personally changed a few things here and there, the overall performance was well done. The capabilities that the stage, the affects, and the people, were able to do and did were great, and gave just that much more of the feeling that you were actually there. Such as how they were able to have the effect of the stage opening and closing in certain spots, making it seem as if there were actual holes dug. The way they used the lighting was also very well done. It was able to tell the audience were to look, or, in some cases, how to look at things. The use of props, the fighting choreography, and the overall design of the play seemed very well thought through and well done. Although the overall play was great, it could’ve been better in some aspects. I would though, most definitley, recommend for people to go out and see the production of Holes at the Indiana Repertory Theatre.
