I ran 6 miles yesterday that seemed like 4, perhaps to balance the 4 that seemed like 6 in the heat/humidity of Tuesday. Another beautiful day today, but we’re in the soup again by the weekend. Hydrate yourself and head to Pendleton’s Falls Park for a great run organized by the Coach Carey Foundation. “Pound the Pavement” takes place Saturday July 16th at 8am. Proceeds from the race support the Coach Carey Foundation scholarship fund. They had 400 participants last year and want more this year.
Pound the Pavement offers a 5k Run/Walk PLUS a 1 Mile Fun Run, Stroller Strut and Dog Walk. The entire one mile course takes place on pavement, so the wheels on your strollers can easily speed through the streets of Pendleton. Click here for more info. One of the sponsors of the event is my Anderson radio affiliate, WQME 98.7fm.
