Expect plenty of cold, steady rain this afternoon into tonight across central Indiana. The northern quarter of the state could see it begin with a little wintry mix. The chart shows where the REALLY big snow could fall, anywhere from Iowa into southern Wisconsin today.
WIND will be the big story Wednesday. The morning will begin with rain. Then the rain diminishes after morning rush hour, and colder air rushes in. We’ll get just a little snow, but a lotta cold. Chills will drop to the teens by Wednesday afternoon, and single digits Wednesday night and Thursday!

I wish there were another term besides “wintry mix” for the rain/freezing rain/snow thing. “Wintry mix” sounds like some kind of powdered sugar covered Chex Mix crap that one would serve at a Christmas party. As a former Indy Star carrier, I much prefer the term “paperboy trifecta”. Cheers,
