The Indianapolis International Airport reached 65 degrees early this afternoon, which is the warmest it has been since November 22nd, when it hit 69 degrees. The normal high temperature for this date is 40 degrees, while the record high is 72 set in 1883. The last time we had a February 16th as warm as today was 1954 when we reached 64.
We don’t have to go back far to find a previous year where we were this warm earlier in the year. On February 4, 2008 we reached 64. On the following day in 2008 we hit 65, and on January 7th of the same year we reached 68 degrees.
It will be mild through the end of the week!
