This computer projection runs from the early early morning rain through 6pm Tuesday: The southward-sagging front also means the high temps in central Indiana should be about four degrees lower today. Every little bit helps with this humidity. The “Ring Of Fire” pattern is still in place, with a big ridge of high pressure in the Southeast directing Gulf moisture toward us. The remnants of a tropical system could get caught up in that flow Friday night and early Saturday morning. Beside heavy rain that should also mean the pattern finally breaks as that energy kicks eastward at the start of the weekend. That will allow a cold front to actually move through the entire Ohio Valley later Sunday. One more hot day and one more round of storms with that – and THEN… very nice Monday and Tuesday. And THEN? Very warm again the second half of next week. PAUL’S PREVIOUS PREDICTION Yesterday’s high was 88. My forecast was 86. INDY ALMANAC The average high today is 82 and the average low is 63.
