Rain is likely as you wake up Wednesday. The big low pressure center starts the day around Louisville and moves northward to the center of Michigan by sunset. The best chances of accumulating snow remain northwest of that path. Rain may start changing to snow by later afternoon in South Bend and Lafayette, but it won’t happen until early evening in central Indiana.
Winds will be active while the surface low is close to us. Expect gusts up to 30 mph. Indy will get an inch – or less – of wet snow. It will not be an unusually snowy Christmas morning across the country.
