Have you bought your Weatherman gifts for Christmas yet? Black Friday is Gray Friday for most of Indiana early on. The are still some flurries and scattered snow showers around until about “normal” opening hours of 9 or 10am. It will exit by afternoon.
There was a tenth of an inch of snow officially at Indianapolis Thanksgiving Day. That means 2.7″ so far this season in Indy. The average at this point is 1.8″ and at this point last year we’d measured 0.1 inches. The snow was a notch above the forecasted-flurries. There goes my Christmas present.
Lake Effect snow fell in Michiana. South Bend put another two inches on the board. They are at 19.1 for the season. The average there is 4.4 inches.
Here’s a look at snow cover around the country, which is pretty impressive for the day after Thanksgiving.
It’s just that kind of month. The average temperature for November so far is 35.4 degrees. As I wrote a few weeks ago this will be the coldest November since 1976.
