So much of my career has been unexpected. For example, I never expected to be on tv. I never expected to be able to make a living from my house. I could go on and on.
I never expected to end up on a tv magazine show about pets, but it happened four summers ago when I was asked to join PetPals TV. It sounded like a fun change of pace, and it was, but the success and spread of the show across the country wasn’t something I necessarily expected.
One of the key ingredients to that success passed away this weekend.
Patty Spitler’s “Louie” seemed incapable of taking a bad picture, which comes in handy on TV. Every time he walked into the WISH TV studios, or any remote location – people started smiling. He radiated warmth (trust me, after sitting next to/underneath Louie I know he radiated warmth) and friendliness. He was the perfect ambassador for the whole idea of “PetPals.” I’ll miss him.
