Today will be the eight consecutive below normal temperature day in central Indiana, and that’s unlikely to change this week. (We might get close Thursday.)
I hate to be negative (like the temps will be again Tuesday) so I will quickly note no heavy snows are expected this week.
An Arctic front moving through the state today brings a little snow in the morning, but most of it should be done by noon. An inch or two of snow is possible north of Indy near Lafayette and Muncie, but otherwise: expect an inch, or less once you’re south of Indy.
The latest bitter blast lasts two days, but at least it comes with some sunshine. There are chances of a little snow Thursday afternoon and evening, and another system will strike Saturday. Chances are better then for accumulation, but it still doesn’t look heavy.
One last positive note: the NEXT week could bring a few days in the 40s!
MICHIANA:
About another inch of snow is possible today around South Bend. The 2.2 inches yesterday means the seasonal total is exactly 88 inches. High today 20, low tonight around 3, and a high tomorrow in the mid teens.
