FRIDAY AFTERNOON UPDATE: Doesn’t look like heavy snow in Central Indiana this weekend. I mentioned this morning on the radio that it could be snow or rain, and it looks like rain should win much of the period from Saturday afternoon through Monday morning. The storm still brings a lot of moisture, but is tracking farther north. Caution, though, for a chance of freezing rain mixing it at times late Saturday night and late Sunday night. And we could still end up with less-than-heavy accumulations as temps drop Monday, mainly north of I-70.
There’s a little bit of everything now through the weekend of weather in Central Indiana. There’s been patchy dense fog this morning, then it’ll be pretty nice today. After midnight tonight and through Saturday morning there will be some snow, possibly mixed with sleet.
Questions remain about Saturday Night through Monday’s weather in Central Indiana. There could be rain and/or snow Saturday Night into Sunday. Heavy snow is still possible Sunday night into Monday.
