Our weather world stands in stark contrast to the Northeast today. It’s much calmer. Actually, completely calm at 6am at the Indy Airport. Clearing began from east to west overnight, breaking up a deck of clouds that hung tough Friday. A partly to mostly sunny day is expected. Clearing may take a little more time this morning to the west of Indy, including Lafayette and Terre Haute. Temperatures will be a little above average today, and much more mild tomorrow, as rain arrives. That won’t last. Cooler conditions will rule much of the next work week. Rain tomorrow could start as early as Sunday morning. The biggest chance in the morning will be west and southwest of Indy. The threat spreads statewide Sunday afternoon and Sunday night, and should end around midnight early Monday morning. Up to a half inch is possible. Monday will be mostly cloudy and breezy. There’s a chance of rain and/or snow Friday, ahead of a cold weekend NEXT weekend. INDY ALMANAC: The average high today is 38 and the average low is 22. Records are 66 and -18. The sunrise time is 7:44 and the sunset is 6:15. ]]>
