Your best chance for a shower today is from Indy northward. There could be wet snow mixed in around South Bend and Michiana, but just plain rain here, thanks. It’s a slight chance, centered around the afternoon hours, and it is associated with an upper air disturbance. Turbulence! Please keep your belts fastened until I’ve turned off the appropriate signs. Temps are above average again today. A quick cool-down is coming Friday, but as per usual for this winter, it lasts two days, and the highs are still not far from normal. Yesterday’s rain total in Indy was .13″ of an inch. We could see around another half an inch between now and Friday.
The peak wind gust around the Metro was 31 mph yesterday, and frisky breezes this afternoon could reach 25 mph. It will be windy again Friday. That’ll be a COLD wind. Although there is a chance of rain and snow showers Thursday night and Friday there is still no need for your shovel. Unless you’re planting spring flowers. (Too soon?) (Yes.)
