Here’s the Indiana Drought Monitor map, which shows generally drier conditions down south. Areas south of a line from around Lafayette to around New Castle are in a drought. The darker brown areas indicate a severe drought, and that area has expanded recently. That area is centered on a Vigo County to Morgan County line and includes all or most of Vigo, Clay, Owen, Morgan, Parke, Putnam, Monroe, Greene, and Sullivan counties. Parts of Johnson, Vermillion, Hendricks, and Bartholomew counties are also in the severe drought.
BTW the yellow sections are “abnormally dry,” and white means things are about average.
