Breaking News! Breaking Bad is the newest addition to Poteet Must See TV. It stars Bryan Cranston, the Dad from Malcolm In The Middle, and the swinging dentist in a couple of Seinfelds. He plays Walter White, who is just turning 50, and about to turn to (what is likely to be a short) Life Of Crime. We are hooked, which may be a poor choice of words given the way Walter decides to make some extra money for his struggling family. The whole cast is excellent. You’ll be lost if you don’t see it from the start. You can catch up via Itunes, and the website is pretty cool.
Mrs. Poteet noticed right away that Bryan continues a long running, uh, streak of appearing in his underwear in this series. He was always just a step away from skivvies on Malcolm In The Middle. He did cover his rear, so to speak, on that broadcast, which saved him from appearing in one of these items:
WASHINGTON (AP) — The Federal Communications Commission has proposed a $1.4 million fine against 52 ABC Television Network stations over a 2003 broadcast of cop drama NYPD Blue.
The fine is for a scene where a boy surprises a woman as she prepares to take a shower. The scene depicted “multiple, close-up views” of the woman’s “nude buttocks” according to an agency order issued late Friday.
ABC is owned by the Walt Disney Co. The fines were issued against 52 stations either owned by or affiliated with the network.
The agency said the show was indecent because it depicts an adult woman’s buttocks.”
That’s over 13 thousand per cheek per station. That’s OK-they’ll make up the lost money by running extra advertisements that are non-offensive. Like the ones that talk about erections lasting over 4 hours. Viva Viagra!
