Flood Warning for the following rivers in Indiana…
White River at Edwardsport, Petersburg, Elliston, and Hazleton.
.Recent rainfall between 1 to 3 inches across the White River basin
will result in minor flooding early this week.
* WHAT…Minor flooding is forecast.
* WHERE…White River at Edwardsport.
* WHEN…From this evening to early Friday morning.
* IMPACTS…At 16.0 feet, Old Vincennes Road and residential
property in this area begin to flood. Flooding of low
agricultural fields occurs along portions of the river.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS…
– At 7:00 AM EDT Monday /6:00 AM CDT Monday/ the stage was 11.3
feet.
– Forecast…The river will rise above flood stage late this
evening to 16.5 feet tomorrow evening. It will then fall
Wednesday evening. It will rise to 15.6 feet Thursday
morning. It will then fall below flood stage Thursday
afternoon.
– Flood stage is 15.0 feet.

Turn around, don’t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
Motorists should not attempt to drive around barricades or drive
cars through flooded areas.
