* At 759 PM EDT, a severe thunderstorm was located near Beech Grove,
or 8 miles southeast of Indianapolis, moving northeast at 15 mph.
HAZARD…Quarter size hail.

IMPACT…Damage to vehicles is expected.
* Locations impacted include…
Indianapolis, Beech Grove, Cumberland, and New Palestine.
This includes the following highways…
Interstate 65 near mile marker 102.
Interstate 70 between mile markers 92 and 93.
Interstate 74 between mile markers 93 and 101.

Large hail, damaging wind, and continuous cloud to ground lightning
are occurring with this storm. Move indoors immediately. Lightning is
one of nature’s leading killers. Remember, if you can hear thunder,
you are close enough to be struck by lightning.
Torrential rainfall is occurring with this storm, and may lead to
flash flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded roadways.
