Flood Warning for the following rivers in Indiana…
Big Blue River at Shelbyville.
Driftwood River near Edinburgh.
East Fork White River at Seymour.
East Fork White River at Columbus.
Flatrock River near Columbus.
.Rainfall amounts of 1.5 to over 3 inches across central Indiana
will bring minor flooding along parts of the East Fork White basin.
Additional localized heavy rainfall this afternoon and tonight could
make crs higher or extend the flooding. Persons with inters
along area rivers should closely monitor the forecast for updates
with more rain forecast this afternoon and evening.
* WHAT…Minor flooding is forecast.
* WHERE…East Fork White River at Columbus.
* WHEN…From Wednesday afternoon to early Friday morning.
* IMPACTS…At 10.1 feet, The low portions of the parking lot for
the Holiday Inn Express near I-65 was extensively flooded in March
2008. Also flooded were the nearby walking trails and the
basketball goal.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS…
– At 11:00 AM Tuesday the stage was 0.9 feet.
– Forecast…The river is expected to rise above flood stage
early tomorrow afternoon to a cr of 10.4 feet early
Thursday morning. It will then fall below flood stage
Thursday afternoon.
– Flood stage is 9.0 feet.

Motorists should not attempt to drive around barricades or drive
cars through flooded areas.
