Flood Warning for the following rivers in Indiana…
Big Blue River at Shelbyville.
Driftwood River near Edinburgh.
East Fork White River at Seymour.
East Fork White River at Columbus.
Flatrock River near Columbus.
.Rainfall amounts of 1.5 to over 3 inches across central Indiana
will bring minor flooding along parts of the East Fork White basin.
Additional localized heavy rainfall this afternoon and tonight could
make crs higher or extend the flooding. Persons with inters
along area rivers should closely monitor the forecast for updates
with more rain forecast this afternoon and evening.
* WHAT…Minor flooding is forecast.
* WHERE…Driftwood River near Edinburgh.
* WHEN…From late tonight to early Saturday morning.
* IMPACTS…At 14.0 feet, Extensive flooding along Big Blue River in
Edinburgh area. In Johnson County CR 650S between CR 700E and CR
800E flooded. Water approaching or on CR 700E near CR 775S. Irwin
Park in Edinburgh extensively flooded. Water affecting one
residence in Shelby County at CR 900W and CR 1000S.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS…
– At 10:30 AM Tuesday the stage was 3.5 feet.
– Forecast…The river is expected to rise above flood stage
just after midnight tonight to a cr of 13.9 feet early
Thursday morning. It will then fall below flood stage early
Friday afternoon.
– Flood stage is 11.0 feet.

Motorists should not attempt to drive around barricades or drive
cars through flooded areas.
