It’s Tom Skilling’s last night on WGN Chicago, and how perfect that he wraps with tornadoes in Cook County the night before a huge temperature plunge. Nolan Poteet and I met him while we were in Chicago two weeks ago, in part to visit my old RTV chum Ray Cortopassi, who anchors the evening newscasts at WGN. I’m pleased to say my interview to bring back the Bozo show went well…I just need to buy the shoes. It was great to relive happy memories with Ray and make some new ones with Tom (turns out he’s not only a fellow weather geek–he’s a fellow radio geek). Also great to road trip with my boy.
Here are some vacation slides. We recommend the Pizza Pot Pie at Chicago Pizza & Oven Grinder near the Lincoln Park Zoo. And what’s the deal with the duct tape on “The Bean?”
