The update Drought Monitor is out, and it shows most of the northern half of the state under a moderate to severe drought.
This week’s rain has helped, but amounts were much lower up around Lafayette, with the year-to-date deficit is six inches. Indy is two inches behind, and Muncie is an inch off the average total year-to-date. The deficit is smaller in Bloomington and Terre Haute.
