Weather is at warp speed this weekend. The Friday map shows a weak trough that moved through in the morning, yielding (briefly) to high pressure moving out of Missouri.
By Saturday morning that high is moving away to the east, and our next weathermaker is loaded up to the west.
It’s a one-two punch Saturday night into Sunday. First a warm front, then a cold front.
That means temperatures are nearly steady Saturday overnight into Sunday morning, peaking in the mid 50s. We will fall into the 40s by afternoon.
No severe weather is expected with this system, but there could be thunder, and winds could gust to 40 mph Saturday night and Sunday morning.
