My Speedo®-wearing days are just about over for the year. The growing season (agriculture, not Speedo®) slams shut this weekend with temps just above freezing Saturday morning and just below it Sunday morning. The Weather Service is already flying the Freeze Watch for both mornings.
Here’s the surface chart for Saturday morning, with the big bubble of high pressure sinking southward from Canada. Oh hai, isn’t there some blue on that map?
That high settles right over the state Sunday morning. Conditions will be ideal for a clear sky, light wind….and a big season-ending frost event.
PAUL’S PREVIOUS PREDICTION
Yesterday’s high was 67. My forecast 66.
