Cue Bing.
It still looks White on Wednesday (into Thursday) of next week. Here, via weatherbell.com, is computer modeling of snow depth on Christmas morning. This model has been consistently indicating an inch or two of snow here (assuming a 10:1 mosture:snow ratio) Another medium-range model is similar.
Today is another – lighter – story. Just snow showers expect as a weakening upper level lows moves in from the west and southwest. Some forecast radar for today:
It will be dry Friday. Maybe a little bit of sun! That storm Saturday stays well to the south of us. Sunday will be partly cloudy. Then it gets active again. There is a chance of showers Monday.
The chance is higher Tuesday. Notice the colder air wrapping in from the northwest. Warmer air will be pulled in over us, and the highs should get into the mid 40s.
By Christmas Eve we change to snow. And look at those isobars, stacked and packed so closely together. It’s gonna be RAW around here on Christmas Eve.
There could still be flurries on Christmas Day, especially north/northeast of Indy. And it will be even colder, with biting winds.
By Christmas Day afternoon the entire system pulls to the northeast.
You won’t have to wait long for more post-Christmas snow. There’s a chance on Friday.
