Probably didn’t feel like it to you, but yesterday’s high of 46 was the warmest temperature of this dreary month. We’ll be in the same neighborhood today. With the same clouds. Well, the clouds will be different, but the reason remains. A strong inversion has trapped moisture near the surface.
Things will get stirred up tomorrow as (what is left of) that California rain-maker approaches us. The best chance of rain is Monday evening and overnight. The first radar simulation is for 1pm Monday and the second is for 1am Tuesday.
Here’s the map sequence, via weatherbell.com.
Temps will fall through the 40s during the day Tuesday, and some snow showers are possible Tuesday night. The much larger chance of larger flakes come with a southern storm Saturday. The Gulf Of Mexico should be open for business, and we could see some accumulating snow, especially in the southern half of Indiana.
INDY ALMANAC
