It’s the coldest November morning in Indy since November 30, 1976. An examination of morning temps across the Lower 48 revealed an average temperature of 20 degrees. That’s the coldest since… November 30, 1976. This chart shows that the 32 degree line (in black.) There’s sub-freezing air somewhere in every one of Lower 48 States.
OFFICIAL LOWS:
9 Indy, Ft. Wayne, Evansville
10 Lafayette, Muncie
11 South Bend, Bloomington, Terre Haute
From our could-be-worse dept: The volunteer observer near Elma in western New York reported a 24 hour snow total of 32.4 inches. Thanks Lake Effect!
Cumulus clouds will puff up during the day today and a few flurries are possible. Winds will gust to 30 mph. An upper level disturbance and a surface cold front leads to a dusting of snow tomorrow. There could be up to an inch from Indy northward.
Big change – finally – this weekend. Temps will return to the 40s and 50s for the first time since a week ago yesterday. Indiana could see 1-2 inches of precipitation may fall. Luckily most of it will fall as rain. It could begin with a period of snow or freezing rain Friday night. Stay tuned.
