The good times are almost over. Blame Norbert!
Indiana will see more mid and high level clouds compared to Sunday and Monday, and a few more degrees for the high temp. It will still be comfortable, but humidity will increase tonight, as moisture is pulled up in front of a big-time low pressure system that will come together today in the Plains.
Tomorrow will be mostly cloudy, muggy, and breezy. And our weather will include moisture streaming in from the southwest, including the leftovers of the tropical system “Norbert.” The National Weather Service recorded 3.29 inches of rain at the Phoenix airport, the most precipitation ever received in one day in the city. The previous record was 2.91 inches in 1939.
Keep an eye to the sky Wednesday morning. If the sun stays awhile, things could really be bumpy. The winds in the higher levels of the atmosphere will be frisky. In any event, the radar should be crowded by late afternoon and definitely in the evening. Most places should see at least an inch of rain.
Behind the front: clouds at first on Thursday, although it should be brighter by afternoon. And quite a bit cooler. We’ll be fighting those cumulus and stratocumulus clouds again Friday. The second punch of even cooler air arrives with a wave bringing clouds and a slight shower chance Friday night.
