A complex of overnight storms moves out of Iowa into the northern third of Illinois and if it holds together it could spell storms around and north of Lafayette, or at least some clouds in the morning and midday.
Otherwise: here comes the heat! And the humidity will increase a little too. Full meal deal. I hear these commercials on WZPL looking for hyper-hydrosis patients. (Raise your hand if you sweat a lot!) Those folks will really notice their condition today and tomorrow.
A cold front approaches Friday and should stir up a few storms by afternoon, with a good chance of showers and storms Friday night. The cold front clears our air space by Saturday morning, but upper level low pressure will keep some clouds and storm chances around through the morning. The coolest air in three weeks arrives Saturday night.
Rain amounts are likely to be around one-half inch from this system…maybe more in the northern third of the state. Sunday looks stunning.
