A complex of storms that had been moving east through northern Illinois has been turning southeast and could hit the metro after 5:30 for at least an hour on its present course. The storms are not severe, but pose a heavy rain threat due to the extremely moist atmosphere and slow movement of the cells. Chances should diminish by mid to late evening.
