My position on the Old Farmers Almanac is similar to other periodicals from my past: I only buy it for the articles. It’s fun to read. But take the forecast with a few thousand grains of salt.
Nonetheless: a “super-cold” winter is forecast for the eastern two-thirds of the USA, with the west a little warmer than average. If I’m reading their website correctly central Indiana would be below normal for both precipitation and temperature in December and January, and above average for both in February.
