Temperatures today will be similar to what we had Saturday. That means the low 80s in Richmond, low to mid 80s in Muncie, and mid 80s in Lafayette and Indy. The mid to upper 80s can be expected in Bloomington and Terre Haute.
Differences? The humidity will be a bit higher than it was yesterday. And today brings an afternoon storm chance. It appears the chance will be confined to the eastern half of the state. Don’t cancel those plans, Lafayette! Or in “the Haute.” Actually I wouldn’t cancel any plans, but I would watch the sky and double check the dop between about Noon and 6pm elsewhere.
I think the scattered storms will be more numerous Monday, and storms will become likely Monday night and Tuesday with a frontal system.
Another system brings storm chances Thursday evening into Friday, and it appears next weekend will be hot and humid. BTW: the first 90s of the season happened last week in Muncie, Terre Haute, and Bloomington. Lafayette and Indy just missed the fun, but the odds are against spending an entire summer out of the 90s. The last time Indy went a whole summer with no 90 degree days was 2004.
