Summer started at 6:51 this morning, at least as far as the calendar’s concerned. The Summer Solstice means the suns sun shines directly on the Tropic of Cancer and the Northern Hemisphere has the longest day of the year. No, the day won’t last 25 hours, but the amount of daylight is exactly 15 hours in Indianapolis.
And you’ll see lots of it. I don’t think storm chances will return until late this evening. You may notice that the humidity is a bit lower today compared to yesterday.
Maybe you should cut that grass while you can, especially if you’re in one the areas that received up to five inches of rain this past week. There could be a few scattered storms both Sunday and Monday. I think there will be organized storms Tuesday, and a brief breather Wednesday and Thursday, with scattered storm chances returning Friday.
