Expect strong Sunday sunshine today. Winds will swing around to more of a southerly direction, so it will be warmer. We’ll get into the low to mid 80s for the first time in 12 days, but the humidity will still be low.
Moisture does start arriving this evening ahead of a cold front that brings showers and storms overnight, and even the slight risk of severe weather to the west, including Lafayette and Terre Haute.
Those storms could still be around during the Monday morning rush hours. They will probably fade in the midday, but puffy clouds Monday afternoon could feed on the heat and humidity and provide another round of rain.
The upper air pattern moves active weather well to the north Tuesday and most of Wednesday, which should allow plenty of steamy sunshine and highs around 90 for the time this season.
That pattern will begin breaking down Wednesday night, and so the chance for scattered showers and storms is higher then through Saturday, but the weather will remain generally humid and warmer than average.
