A warm and humid day is ahead, with breezy conditions and periods of showers and storms. The best chances will be from late morning until just after sunset tonight. High temps will be in the low 80s, It won’t be as hot as our sizzling, sun-fueled Sunday.
HIGHS YESTERDAY
89 Terre Haute
88 Bloomington, Lafayette, Muncie
87 Indianapolis (warmest of year)
Tuesday should become partly cloudy and the bulk of the day will be dry. That should allow temps to jump back to the mid 80s. Severe thunderstorms are still possible Wednesday. An upper air trough of low pressure should be digging into the Ohio Valley, and a stalled frontal system should be just to the south of central Indiana at the surface. The chance for rough stuff (at the moment) is equally as great at any time of day Wednesday.
This week we spell relief T-h-u-r-s-d-a-y. That’s when drier, less humid air moves in, and once again it should stay through Saturday. Sooner or later we’ll have a terrible Saturday, but it appears once again the weekend storm chance will wait until Sunday.
