Even in the Rockies this will be a big deal. One to two feet of snow will fall Sunday into Monday from Denver westward into the mountains. About 39% of Denver’s months of May have snow. If they get to a foot, it’ll be in the top 5 on record
Meanwhile, in the middle of the country there is a moderate risk of severe weather from Iowa to parts of Nebraska and Kansas. There’s a slight risk of severe storms this afternoon and evening across central Indiana, as a front marches back to the north bringing warmer air that is more moist and more prone to instability with some late morning and midday sunshine.
A round of early morning storms brought .51″ of rain to Terre Haute, 26″ to Indy, .14″ to Lafayette, and only .03″ to Muncie.
