Our Mini-Marathon of below normal temperatures will end this weekend, as highs return to normal, and skies are friendly for 13.1 miles Saturday morning.
Today’s temps, however, are another story, staying in the 50s again with partly to mostly conditions. The wind won’t be as strong as yesterday, when the peak gust hit 34 mph. That pesky precipitation maker is still spinning through the Great Lakes and should finally move away late tonight. Until that happens: a few sprinkles or light showers are possible.
The sun will be a bigger player Saturday. If you will be downtown for the Mini expect a partly sunny sky and a southwest wind around 10 mph. The morning low will be 47.

I mentioned yesterday that Sunday’s forecast might need to be adjusted. Sorry…that happened. There is a slight shower or storm chance in the afternoon. Overall, however: a really nice stretch starts this weekend, especially if you’ve been missing the heat.
We finally have a shot at 80 degrees by Wednesday. For Indy, this is the first year since 2000 that the first 80 degree temperature didn’t occur before May. Te record for latest first 80 degree temp is June 5, 1983.
