HEADLINES:
Mostly cloudy today. Chance of snow, sleet, and freezing rain Monday morning, and that mix is likely in the afternoon. Expect 1-2 inches of snow and sleet accumulation. Ice could accumulate around a tenth of an inch. (My Michiana listeners could see up to 5 inches of mainly snow.) The next storms bring plain rain Thursday and again Saturday.
LAST NIGHT’S SNOW:
The Indy Airport measured 1.1 inches of snow. That means we have the biggest “meteorological winter” (December-February) total ever.
1. 51.6 (2013-14)
2. 51.0″ (1981-82)
If you count the entire “snow season” (and include November and March, etc) we are also closing in on the top. Just 6.6 inches to go.
1. 58.2″ (1981-82)
2. 57.9″ (1977-78)
3. 51.7″ (2013-14)
3. 51.7″ (1995-96)
