It now appears another round of snow will hit central Indiana between about midnight and 9am Friday, and these snow showers could put down one or two inches of accumulation. THAT IS A CHANGE from what I had earlier forecast. Blame an upper level wave that should be gone by afternoon.
That snow is in addition to the Saturday snow I’m still expecting, which will bring 1-3 inches to central Indiana in the afternoon and evening. A clipper is the driving force behind that event.
Today’s official snow total in Indy was 2.4 inches. That brings the season total to 29.5 inches. For an ENTIRE season the average is 25.9 inches. Last winter we got 34.5 inches. This winter (in meteorological terms) was HALFway over just yesterday:)
