The number of weather problems has been SLASHED! Everything MUST GO! Watches, warnings and advisories have ALL been reduced! I’ve got a blue sky for your Black Friday, with a lighter wind than yesterday in central Indiana. And the weather is indeed quite quiet across the USA, excepting some advisories for cold temps in the Florida Panhandle and Deep South. And the balloons flew in NYC on Thanksgiving. Mister Weatherman is thankful. The big holiday event around here tonight is in good shape. Typically cold for the Monument Circle Festival Of Lights, but the breeze should hold at only about 5 mph. The 7pm forecast is partly cloudy, and right at 32 degrees. Sunshine’s the big story today, with the possibility of 40 in Terre Haute and Bloomington. It will barely get above freezing in Lafayette, and stay in the mid 30s in Muncie and Richmond. It’s been an interesting month of cold temperatures punctuated by a historic tornado outbreak. Two-thirds of the days in November have been been below average. We will finally return to average (or at least near-average) highs starting tomorrow through Thursday, before heading below normal again next weekend. You know what else is below average? Snowfall, at least in Central Indiana. Normally, Indy’s had 1.1 inches by now. This season: 0.1 inches. INDY ALMANAC: The average high today is 45 and the average low and the average low is 30. Records are 70 and -1. The sun rises at 7:45 and sets at 5:22. PAUL’S PREVIOUS PREDICTION: Yesterday’s high was 36. My forecast was 34.
