Low pressure means a lousy day for Indiana. The storm will move out of the Dakotas in the morning to the northeast, dragging a surface cold front through the state this afternoon. Clouds will be around all day, and showers are possible at any time. The morning will be wettest north and west of Indy, and the rain won’t get rolling in Muncie and Richmond until the midday and afternoon. The front should be moving toward Ohio shortly after sunset, shutting down the showers by late evening. Last week’s Halloween storm soaked us with 1-2 inches of rain, but this one won’t be *quite* as bad. You can expect up to three-quarters of an inch in Indianapolis, Muncie, and Bloomington. Amounts around Kokomo and Lafayette could get closer to an inch. In Richmond it may be just over half an inch. Winds could get gusty at times today, up to 30 mph. It’ll get frisky again tomorrow, but it will be a colder west wind gusting up to 20 mph in the afternoon. That will keep chills tomorrow afternoon in the upper 30s to low 40s. Today’s the last day above average for awhile. We’ll get close Saturday, before another cold front arrives in the second half of the day, keeping it cooler again Sunday. That front still looks like it will move through will no rain. Next week is still looking warmer than average. INDY ALMANAC: The average high today is 57 and the average low is 39.
