I’ll start with the part that’s changed. There will be sprinkles and scattered showers around Tuesday morning. This is associated with a fresh push of mild and moist air that should keep the morning cloudy. Breaks in the clouds are possible this afternoon. Today and tomorrow still look like the only days with above average temperatures anytime soon. And it still looks wet and windy Wednesday. Widespread rain can be expected for several hours, so you may get a little Halloween flashback. This time, however there is no threat of severe weather. The southwest wind will gust to 30 mph at times tomorrow. Expect about three-quarters of an inch of rain, with up to an inch possible in some areas. The rain will slide in from the west in the morning. Lafayette could have a wet morning drive, but the steady stuff is more likely to arrive in Indy and Muncie through the midday. All of central Indiana will face a rainy Wednesday afternoon. The showers will move off to the east Wednesday night, and some clearing will follow. It will still be blustery Thursday, but it will be a chilly northwest wind. The first four days of this young month have been averaging about 2.5 degrees below normal. There are some signs that next week’s temps will return to above normal in general. INDY ALMANAC: Today’s average high is 58 and the average low is 39. Records are 76 and 15.
