The sun should be strong for the Circle City Classic Parade today. Temps should be in the mid 60s. If you’re headed to the Athenaeum for Germanfest the afternoon temps will be into the 70s. No problem today for the Ball State Homecoming game, or the late morning Purdue game in West Lafayette. A cold front is waiting in the wings, and it should generate some spotty showers late this afternoon and evening. Rain chances begin after about 3pm around Lafayette and Terre Haute, after 5pm in Indy, and after 7pm in Muncie. The chance should be gone by the time you wake up Sunday and the sky will clear again. Most of this weekend will be just fine. NEXT weekend is another story. It will definitely be cooler, with highs in the 50s. At best. We’ve only had two days in Indy this October where highs haven’t hit the 70s or 80s. In this past week the high has been increasing precisely two degrees a day. It was 70 Tuesday, 72 Wednesday, 74 Thursday, and 76 Friday. I think we’ll get to (duh!) 78 today. It looks great (duh!) in San Diego for the Colts, with kickoff temps in the upper 60s Monday evening. INDY ALMANAC: The average high today is 67 and the average low is 46. Records are 86 and 26. The sun rises at 7:52 and sets at 7:10. PAUL’S PREVIOUS PREDICTION: Yesterday’s high was 76. My forecast was 77.]]>
