A new week begins, and our weather story starts at the top. An upper level low pressure system will move northeastward through the Great Lakes today. It brings you morning and midday clouds, and a few spotty showers, mainly north of Indy. Not that we need the rain. RAINFALL THURSDAY THROUGH SUNDAY 4.27″ Bloomington 2.57″ Indianapolis 2.30″ Richmond (through Saturday) 2.21″ Shelbyville 1.79″ Lafayette 1.75″ Muncie 1.19″ Terre Haute Monday morning temps were in the 40s for the first time this month. Last week was mainly muggy and warm. That all ended Sunday with a cold front that ended 12 consecutive days of above average readings. After today’s cool temps around 60 we will rebound with mostly clear weather the rest of the week with temperature going back above average. High pressure will return at the surface and a ridge of high pressure will also settle in above. The humidity won’t be a factor, and neither will rain, at least until about Sunday.
