Over an inch of rain fell in some locations yesterday, and more is coming today, although the amounts will be lighter. A cold front passes through the state in the morning, bringing cooler, gusty breezes. Temps will fall from the mid 60s to the upper 50s by late afternoon. One more cool day is coming tomorrow. A pocket of cold air in the upper atmosphere will cause clouds and another chilly wind, and perhaps a few spotty showers. Highs will only be in the upper 50s to around 60. But that’s it. Sunshine, and near-to-above-normal temps will return Tuesday and stay for the work week. Tailgaters today will need to be ready for showers in the morning and chilly drizzle later. Don’t expect an open roof. Do expect plenty of puddles.
