The first full day of Fall should be picture perfect. Savor that sunshine! We are losing two-three minutes of daylight every single day by late September.
There are two periods of potential precipitation in the Seven Day Forecast. One is Tuesday night into Wednesday morning. The other is Saturday night into Sunday morning. Neither chance will bring anything big. Expect a quarter-inch or less between the two. That’s ok…we caught up over the last wet week. This table shows rainfall since last Monday.
LAST WEEK’S RAINFALL
3.61″ South Bend
2.55″ Lafayette
2.33″ Richmond
2.06″ Indianapolis
1.71″ Muncie
0.96″ Bloomington
0.66″ Terre Haute
High pressure dominates today, and then our level system arrives by tomorrow afternoon, making the later afternoon hours a little more cloudy. The best chance of rain Tuesday night and Wednesday morning will be from Indy southward. Just a slight chance for Lafayette and Muncie. The weekend rain chance is widespread, as a surface cold front approaches from the northwest Saturday night into Sunday morning.
