A cold front that passed through the state last night didn’t leave much a mark in the rain bucket, but it will knock our numbers back to the low 70s for highs today, which means we’re back to where we were Saturday afternoon.
The front did bring .31″ of an inch of rain to Lafayette and .23″ to Muncie. Just a trace in Indy, and nothing in Terre Haute and Bloomington. Clouds are stacked up behind the front, along with some fog, so it will be a dreary start to the work week. The sun will be stronger this afternoon.
Tomorrow will be a great fall day – lots of sun, and just a little below average. A warm front will approach after midnight Tuesday night into Wednesday morning, bringing another chance of showers and storms. Following that, back to heat and humidity for a couple of days. Scattered storms could pop Thursday, but the best chance will be Friday, with a cold front well-timed to pass through and leave us weekend sunshine again. And maybe slightly green grass to cut next weekend. Early precipitation projections point to up to an inch of rain possible Friday.
