Indiana's Weather For Friday

The coolest air in about 4 months will arrive in central Indiana late tonight and tomorrow morning. The lows will drop to the low to mid 40s, and may fall into the upper 30s to the northeast around Muncie and Marion, and to about 40 degrees in Richmond Saturday morning. Most places have been in the 40s a few times this summer, but the last time the Heat Island of Indy official was in the 40s was June 3rd. The last time Muncie and Richmond were in the 30s was May 12, when it was 39 in Muncie and a frosty 35 in RIchmond. Temperatures will stay below average until the middle of next week, balancing a recent two-day stretch of record highs. High pressure will dominate at the surface and up above today and tomorrow, but a weak cold front is the weekend wild card, perhaps with precipitation later Sunday afternoon and evening.
